The Blues Hall of Fame honors those who have made the Blues timeless through performance, documentation, or recording. Since its inception in 1980, the Blues Foundation has inducted new members annually into the Blues Hall of Fame for their contribution and influence on the Blues. As of 2015, the Blues Foundation has inducted more than 350 performers and pieces of work into their Hall of Fame.

An induction ceremony is held each year in Memphis, Tennessee. Previously, this foundation could only be found on the web. However, on May 8th, 2015, the Blues Foundation opened the doors to their first ever physical museum, in downtown Memphis. Across the street from the National Civil Rights Museum at the Lorraine Motel, visitors can now learn about the rich history of the Blues, and the people who made it what it is today.

Eric Price, of Memphis Lighting Sales, chose Acolyte’s RGBW 8.8 RibbonLyte to create a dynamic canopy across the entrance of the Blues Hall of Fame. It extends across the entire front of the building, as well as on the inside. With constantly changing colors, the RGBW RibbonLyte easily creates eye-catching effects. Should visitors join the statue of Little Milton at the entrance, they'll enjoy some well-lit photo opportunities in from of the monumental hall of fame.
